Roef! moves into third place after split with Sparks Haarlem
Nederlands

HAARLEM (Neth.) - Roef! moved into third place on Saturday (August 5) after splitting its double-header with reigning champion Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem.

In the opener, Sparks Haarlem won 10-3 in 4½ inning, which ended Roef!'s winning streak of seven games. In the next game, Roef! recovered and won 8-2.

With the victory in the second game, Roef! moved into third place, passing Terrasvogels, which today lost twice to league-leader FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem.

While Roef! is currently in the top-4, it still has some crucial games remaining. The team is now six points (three games) ahead of fifth-placed Tex Town Tigers, which has six games remaining.

Despite losing the second game and while not yet officially qualified for the Play-Offs, Sparks Haarlem secured itself of a spot in next years Golden League. There are still several scenarios possible of teams finishing in ties, but one thing is sure, even when Sparks Haarlem loses all its remaining games, it will finish no lower than fifth place. The team in sixth place has to play in the Promotion/Relegation Play-Offs.
