Terrasvogels vs. Talent Team Holland (game two)
In the second game, the Talent Team got into scoring position again in the top of the first inning. With one out, Rose Mwaro singled, then an error was made on a force play-grounder by Feline Poot. Herafter, Mwaro was caught stealing at third base. Micaela Whitney, who also was the starter in this game, closed with a strikeout. After having struckout nine batters in the opener, she added eight more in the 5 1/3 inning she threw in this game.

In the bottom of the first inning, Terrasvogels also left a runner behind in scoring position off of Lisa Hop, who also started again for the Talent Team. With one out, Lizzie Clarijs walked and stole second base, then reached third base on a wild pitch, but Hop also closed with a strikeout.

In the next at bat, Terrasvogels took a 3-0 lead with two outs. Kimberly Jones led off with a walk, but was eliminated in a double play. With two outs, Rhowan Stuart doubled and Gabi Obia was hit by a pitch. Both scored when next hitter Dervisa Mutic drilled the ball over the leftfield-fence for a 3-run homerun, her first of the season. It was her first 'over-the-fence-homerun', but the second big league-homerun in her career. On August 30, 2015, she hit an inside-the-park-homerun while playing for the Talent Team Holland. She hit the homerun at the same site, as Terrasvogels was the opponent.

Dervisa Mutic became the fifth different player of Terrasvogels to hit a homerun this season, which is the most in the league. DSS has four different players who homered this year. With six homeruns, Terrasvogels is in a tie for second place with Olympia Haarlem. The most homeruns are hit by Sparks Haarlem (3 players) and Tex Town Tigers (2 players), who both have seven.

The Talent Team got one run back in the top of the third inning. With one out, Onaisha Franka (fielder's choice) was on first base and stole second. She moved on a single by Yindi Beekveldt. A double-steal followed with Franka scoring, but Micaela Whitney then struckout the next two batters.

In the bottom of the third, Terrasvogels got into scoring position again, but was unable to score. Lizze Clarijs led off with a walk and Ella Krommendijk walked with one out. The two advanced on a passed ball. Hereafter, a squeeze-attempt followed from Kimberly Jones, but resulted in Clarijs being eliminated at the plate. A force out ended the at bat.

In the fourth inning, both teams got into scoring position. Uchenna Jong Loy led off for the Talent Team with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Tammie Lijbers. The latter got into scoring position via a sacrifice bunt by Charlotte Drijvers, but hereafter, Micaela Whitney closed with another strikeout.

In the bottom of the fourth, Daniëlle ten Donkelaar took over the pitching for the Talent Team. She gave up a lead-off double to Rhowan Stuart, but she was eliminated moments later in a double play.

The Talent Team then scored twice in the top of the fifth to come alongside and make it a 3-3 score. The first two batters struckout, but hereafter, four consecutive basehits were recorded. Yindi Beekveldt first singled with two outs, then Rose Mwaro followed with a bunt-single. When that was followed by a throwing error, Beekveldt scored and Mwaro ended up on third base. She then scored when next batter Feline Poot also singled. The Talent Team got runners at the corners when Uchenna Jong Loy delivered the fourth basehit. But hereafter, Micaela Whitney shut the door and again closed with a strikeout.

Terrasvogels immediately reacted by scoring five runs in its fifth at bat on seven basehits to take a decisive lead. With one out, Lizzie Clarijs singled and Jessica Waasdorp doubled, followed by runscoring singles from Ella Krommendijk and Kimberly Jones. A force out at third base followed on a grounder by Jeske Meewisse. After executing a double-steal, Jones and Meewisse both scored on the third double in the game by Rhowan Stuart, who then scored herself on a single by Gabi Obia to increase the lead to 8-3. Dervisa Mutic added a double, but two runners were left at second and third base.

In the top of the sixth, Micaela Whitney walked Nina Oomes with one out. She was then relieved by Femke Duffhues, who retired the next two batters.

In the bottom of the sixth, Terrasvogels got two more baserunners when pinch-hitter Sanne Korpel and Ella Krommendijk both walked with one out. Lisa Hop then re-entered as pitcher and saw a line drive from Kimberly Jones end in an inning-ending double play.

The Talent Team got its final baserunner in the top of the seventh when Feline Poot reached on an error with two outs, but a grounder then ended the game.
