Tex Town Tigers wins twice vs. Talent Team to remain in Play-Off race
Nederlands

ENSCHEDE (Neth.) - Tex Town Tigers won its double-header against the winless Talent Team Holland on Sunday (August 13) to remain in the race for the fourth and final spot in the Play-Offs. Tex Town Tigers won 6-1 and 3-0.

With the victories, an all-deciding final weekend is set up. Not only to decide who will be the fourth team to qualify for the Play-Offs, but also, which team will finish in sixth place.

With today's wins, Tex Town Tigers is now only two points (one game) behind fourth-placed Roef!, whom it will meet in its final double-header of the regular season on Saturday, September 2. When TTT should win the first game, the second match-up will be decisive. When Roef! wins the opener, it will reach the Play-Offs.

In case Tex Town Tigers should lose twice against Roef!, it can still end up in a tie with DSS, which probably means they will have to play an one-game play-off to decide fifth and sixth place. To realize that, DSS has to win all four remaining games in the final weekend. It meets Terrasvogels on September 2, then close the next day against the Talent Team Holland. The team that finishes in sixth place has to play in the Promotion/Relegation Play-Offs, first playing an best-of-one Play-Off against the second-best team of the Silver League, which currently is Amsterdam Pirates. The winner of that game advances to the Play-Off Final and meets the number one team of the Silver League, which currently is Hoofddorp Pioniers.

After this weekend, the season will be interrupted (again) for the upcoming European Cup Tournaments. Dutch champion Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem and Terrasvogels will participate in the European Premiere Cup in Haarlem (Netherlands). League-leader FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem and DSS wil travel to Italy for the Cup Winners Cup, which will be played in Caserta. Both events will open on Monday, August 21 and close on Saturday, August 26. Last year, Sparks Haarlem and Olympia Haarlem won the Premiere Cup and Cup Winners Cup, respectively.
