This is the second Championship-title in club-history, but the first under its current name. In 2003, the club won its first title when it was called DSC '74.

Earlier in the day, Quick Amersfoort shutout Gophers 10-0 in the Silver League/First Division Promotion/Relegation Final. On Saturday, Quick won 4-1 against HCAW in the Play-Off, which resulted in the relegation of HCAW. With the win, Quick Amersfoort promoted and will play in the Silver League next year. With the loss, Gophers will stay in the First Division.

Quick-pitcher Puck van der Kolk threw a 4-inning No-Hitter and struckout four batters. Only one hitter of Gophers reached base, which was the result of an error.

Quick collected nine basehits, including a homerun by Franka van Dijk.

In the afternoon, DSS shutout Hoofddorp Pioniers 7-0 in the Golden League/Silver League Promotion/Relegation Final. With this, DSS will stay in the highest division, while Pioniers will play in the Silver League again next year. On Saturday, DSS had won 4-2 against De Glaskoning Twins, which also was eliminated for promotion and stays in the Silver League.

Winning pitcher Dagmar Bloeming had another fine outing for DSS. After striking out 13 batters on Saturday, she struckout 12 today and gave up only two basehits. DSS collected ten basehits off of four pitchers, including four by Noa Brand, who batted in two runs.

In Game 2 of the Holland Series, Olympia Haarlem opened the score right away in the top of the first inning. Eva Voortman led off with an infield-hit, stole second base, advanced on a grounder by Jessie van Aalst and scored on a double by Mariëlle Vleugels.

The second run was added in the sixth inning. Lead-off hitter Dinet Oosting was then hit by a pitch, moved on a sacrifice bunt by Brenda Bers, reached third base on a single by Shareday Christina and scored on a 2-out single by pinch-hitter Stephanie Pearce.

Winning pitcher Ellen Roberts struckout five batters and threw an one-hitter. The lone hit was recorded by Chantal Versluis, who led off the sixth inning with a single to end Roberts' Perfect Game! Versluis later stranded on second base and was one of only two Sparks Haarlem-players to reach base. The other was Kehli Washington, who was hit by a pitch in the sixth. Roberts was named Most Valuable Player of the Holland Series.
