 Terrasvogels registers two big victories

Terrasvogels registered two big victories in its first two exhibition games of the season on Saturday (March 25).
The team participated in a triple-header-event at Onze Gezellen, with Birds being the third team.
Last season, Terrasvogels reached the Holland Series, which was a thrilling best-of-one.
Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem captured the title by winning 1-0 in eight innings.
Terrasvogels opened with a 15-0 win against host Onze Gezellen, then followed with a 9-0 victory against Birds.
The day ended with the match-up between Onze Gezellen and Birds.
In the opener, Terrasvogels collected 16 basehits, including four by Lizzie Clarijs, who had two doubles and a triple, scored two runs and batted in six runs.
Terrasvogels opened with three runs in the first inning.
Dervisa Mutic then led off with a walk and Lizzie Clarijs singled, then both scored on a following single by Kimberly Jones, who later scored herself on a single by Kelly Koeman.
Four runs were added in the next at bat.
Jeske Meewisse and Jessica Waasdorp led off with singles and scored when a hit by Dervisa Mutic ended in an error.
A double by Lizzie Clarijs and single by Kimberly Jones accounted for the next two runs.

Clarijs added a 2-run double in the third inning, then Suka Van Gurp contributed with a runscoring single in the fourth at bat.
A 5-run rally lifted the lead to 15-0 in the seventh inning.
After a run was scored on an error and another one on a single by Lisanne Spoor, Lizzie Clarijs highlighted the inning with a 3-run triple.
Pitchers Dani Bonnet (4 innings) and Lizzie Clarijs (3 innings) both gave up only one basehit.
In its next game against Birds, Terrasvogels registered another shutout.
This time, ten basehits were collected, including three hits by Jessica Waasdorp and a double and homerun by Suka Van Gurp.
In the first inning, Sanne Korpel led off with a single and scored the first run on a single by Kelly Koeman.
A 5-run rally followed in the third at bat.
Ella Krommendijk led off with a single and Kelly Koeman reached on a fielder's choice with one out, then Suka Van Gurp followed with a 3-run homerun.
After a pitching change, Rhowan Stuart singled and Lizzie Clarijs walked.
The next run was then scored on a single by Jessica Waasdorp, who later scored herself on a basesloaded walk for Sanne Korpel.
In the fourth inning, Terrasvogels got the bases loaded with two outs.
The bases were then cleared when Jessica Waasdorp connected for a 3-run single to make it a 9-0 score.
Femke Dufhues went the distance for Terrasvogels and gave up only three basehits.
Coming weekend, Terrasvogels is one of the participants in the annual J.C.J. Mastenbroek Tournament in Enschede, hosted by Tex Town Tigers.
Onze Gezellen will participate on Saturday in the annual Keistad Tournament, hosted by XLLease Quick Amersfoort in Amersfoort.
Birds will play on Saturday against Neptunus and Euro Stars in Capelle a/d IJssel.
