Tex Town Tigers already has its team complete for the upcoming season, as its foreign additions have arrived.
Tonight, three of them played defesively in the opening game, being Australing pitcher Jessica Tolmie, British infielder Amy Wells (2B) and New Zealand-outfielder Nita Hickey (LF).
A fourth player, German infielder Lisa Marie Köllner was the designated player.
It was Barracudas that got into scoring position first.
With one out, Kimberly Zehnder singled off of righthander Jessica Tolmie.
Zehnder, who last season played for TTT, moved to second base on a passed ball, but then was left behind.
Tex Town Tigers then opened the score in the bottom of the first inning.
With one out, Amy Wells reached on an infield-hit, advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Nita Hickey and moved to third base on a wild pitch from Jordan Dixon.
She then scored the first run when Laura Wissink followed with a single.

In the next two innings, Barracudas was unable to get into scoring position.
On the other hand, Tex Town Tigers was unable to take more distance.
In the second inning, veteran player Nadine Marinus led off with a bunt-single and stole second base, but stranded there.
In the third, Annemiek Jansen led off with a single, but was caught stealing.
Barracudas then came alongside in the top of the fourth inning.
Adelline Glauser led off with a single and advanced on an one-out single by Nina Wunn.
Hereafter, she scored the tying run when a throwing error was made on a sacrifice bunt by Corina Grass, which led to runners on first and third base.
The bases then got loaded when Ines Dübendorfer reached on an infield-hit towards first base.
Wunn was unable to score from third base, by Grass moved to second base.
The three runners were left behind when a strikeout and flyout (on a bunt) followed.
With the score now at 1-1, Tex Town Tigers suddenly was very productive in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The team recorded six basehits and rallied for seven runs to increase the score to 8-1.
In the at bat, Lisa Marie Köllner led off with a single and Nadine Marinus was hit by a pitch.
She moved on a sacrifice bunt by Aafje van Baal and the bases then got loaded when Myrthe Smid reached on a bunt-single.
Marije Oosting-ten Thij followed with a 2-run double and another run was added when a sacrifice bunt/fielder's choice by Annemiek Jansen didn't result in an out.
That resulted in runners on second and third.
With two outs, more scoring was done when Nita Hickey delivered a 2-run double and Laura Wissink followed with a 2-run homerun.
While a 7-run difference was reached, the game continued, as the playing time for pool-games is 70 minutes.
After the homerun, Lisa Marie Köllner recorded her second basehit in this inning, but then the time-limit was reached and the game ended.
And with that, Tex Town Tigers won its first game under new Head Coach Robert Kovačević.
