Terrasvogels and Roef! add Australian and Argentinian pitchers to rosters

SANTPOORT-ZUID / MOERGESTEL (Neth.) - Terrasvogels has added Australian righthanded pitcher Alice Donohoe to its roster. She arrived on Thursday (March 29). Alice Donohoe will make her debut with the team during the Haarlem Series.

Roef! confirmed that it has added righthanded pitcher Tamara Belén Togni from Argentina to its roster for this years Golden League-season. She already is with the team for some weeks and participated with Roef! in the Pre-Season Tournament two weeks ago.

Last November, Terrasvogels already announced that it had added righthanded pitcher Nyree White from New Zealand. However, she is currently injured. It is not clear yet whether she will join the team later in the season.

Alice Donohoe played for the Australian Under-16 Team in 2010 and was a member of the Australian Under-19 Team in 2012-2013.

Hereafter, she pitched for the Wranglers, the team of Odessa College in Texas in 2014-2015. In her first season, the righthander was 18-4 with a 3.05 ERA and 131 strikeouts. In 2015, she pitched in 20 games (11 complete), was 12-3 with two saves and a 2.89 ERA. Donohoe struckout 52 hitters.

In 2016, she pitched in her Junior-season for the Eagles, the team of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. There, she was a teammate of Gabi Obia, one of the catchers of Terrasvogels. For the Eagles, she appeared in 11 games, ten of them as a reliever. Donohoe was 1-1 with one save and closed with a 3.89 ERA. Currently, Dutch pitchers Ilona Andringa and Lisa Hop are pitching for this team.

Righthanded pitcher Tamara Togni has played for the National Team of Argentina since 2013. With the National Team, she participated in several big international events.

After the Pan American Games Qualifier in 2013 in San Juan (Puerto Rico), she was a member of the squad during the tenth edition of the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City (USA) in 2015. The following year, she finished with Argentina in third place at the South American Championship in Cartagena (Colombia). Last year, Tamara Togni participated with Argentina in the Women's Pan Am Softball Championship in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).

In November last year, she won the National Championship-title of Argentina with CEF 5, which defeated Estudiantes in the Final. Afterwards, she was named Best Pitcher of the Championship Tournament, which was held in Paraná. In 2016, she was named Most Valuable Player of the club-tournament of the Copa Buenos Aires. She won the Cup with CPEF and was the winning pitcher in the Final of the event.
