 Softball exhibition-season begins on Saturday

The exhibition softball-season begins coming weekend (March 9-10) with the two-day Pre-Season Tournament, which is organized annually by Roef!.
Depending on the weather conditions, the games are played either inside or outside at the site of Roef! in Moergestel, but this year, all games will be played indoors.
The weather is not favorable for coming weekend and besides that, the site of Roef! is currently being renovated.

The games will be played at Sporthal Reeshof (hall 1) and Sporthal De Blaak (hall 2), both in Tilburg.
In total, ten teams will participate in the twelfth edition of the tournament, including three foreign teams, being Eagles Praha (Czech Republic), Bonn Capitals (Germany) and Hoboken Pioneers (Belgium).
Roef! and Twins Oosterhout are the lone two teams that will play in the Golden League this season.
There are three teams from the Silver League: Onze Gezellen, Red Lions and UVV.
Completing the field of participants are DVH and Roef! 2.
The ten teams are divided into two pools of five teams.
Playing in Pool A are DVH, Eagles Praha, Onze Gezellen, Red Lions and Roef!.
Playing in Pool B are Bonn Capitals, Hoboken Pioneers, Roef! 2, Twins Oosterhout and UVV.
The first games will be played on Saturday at 9 AM.
The final is scheduled for 4 PM on Sunday.
Last year, the tournament was won by Terrasvogels.
In January, Roef! won the annual international Indoor Cup for the third consecutive year to become the first team to do so in the history of the event in Schiedam.
Next week, on Saturday, March 16, Twins Oosterhout will be the first Golden League-team that has outdoor-games scheduled.
The team then will play a double-header at home against Quick Amersfoort.
A week later, on Saturday, March 23, Golden League-teams Hoofddorp Pioniers, Terrasvogels and Roef! will play a 3-game series in Hoofddorp.
The following day, Twins Oosterhout will play a double-header against Hoboken Pioneers from Belgium.
Also that weekend, the annual Midden Nederland Cup-tournament is also scheduled in Loosdrecht at the site of Hilversum Hurricanes.
Reigning champion FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem, Sparks Haarlem, DSS and Tex Town Tigers will not play their first exhibition game before March 29.
In that weekend, these four teams will the participate in the annual J.C.J. Mastenbroek Tournament at the site of Tex Town Tigers in Enschede.
