Game 2
In the second game, Roef! was unable to do some early scoring.
The team left runners behind in scoring position in the first two innings, then opened the score in the third at bat, but left the bases loaded in the fourth.
Hoofddorp Pioniers, which als stranded runners in scoring position in the first three innings, then struck with four runs in the fifth inning and hold onto the lead.
In the top of the first inning, off of starter Kim Horsten, Nina Oomes reached for Pioniers on an error.
She moved on a wild pitch, but was left behind.
In the bottom of the first inning, it was Roef! that got into scoring position for the first time off of starter Serena Kersten.
With one out, Cindy van der Zanden walked and Elizabeth Snow singled.
But the first was forced out on third base and two runners stranded.
The two teams again got on second base in the second inning.
For Pioniers, the first four batters reached base, but no one scored.
Manon Marie led off with a single, then was forced out on a grounder by Sheila van der Tang, who also was forced out herself on a following grounder by Dionne Cooper.
Next batter Iris Dweelaard reached on an infield-hit, but two runners were left behind.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Amy Udink reached second base on an error, but stranded.
After Pioniers left another runner behind on second base, Roef! opened the score in its third at bat.
Wies Ligtvoet led off with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Cindy van der Zanden.
Next batter Elizabeth Snow also tripled, but she stranded on third base.

Pioniers was retired in order in the top of the fourth, then Roef! failed to take some more distance and left three runners behind.
With one out, Amy Udink doubled and Charlotte Drijvers reached on a bunt-single, which led to runners on second and third base.
With two outs, a force play was set up by walking Wies Ligtvoet intentionally.
The three runners were left behind when a grounder ended the inning.
In the top of the fifth, the Roef!-pitching ran into problems and Pioniers rallied for four runs.
The at bat began with several changes in the Roef!-defense.
With one out, Femke Nuijten reached on a bunt-single and scored the tying run on a double by Quilen Dirksz, who moved to third base on an outfield-error.
That led to a pitching change, as Marjolein Merkx took over from Kim Horsten.
She was greeted with a runscoring single by Nina Oomes that gave Pioniers the lead.
Hereafter, the Hoofddorp-team got the bases loaded when Kelsey Huijzers walked and Shari van Heyningen was hit by a pitch.
Two more runs were added without hitting basehit.
With the bases loaded, Manon Marie was hit by a pitch and Sheila van der Tang walked to raise the lead to 4-1.
A force play at the plate then followed on a grounder by Dionne Cooper then a strikeout ended the inning, but the game had turned around.
After Roef! left a runner behind on first base in the bottom of the fifth, Pioniers added a run in the sixth.
With one out, Quilen Dirksz singled and with two outs, Kelsey Huijzers walked.
Another pitching change followed, as Rachael Knapp entered the circle.
But she gave up a runscoring single to Shari van Heyningen that made it a 5-1 score.
Roef! was retired in order in the bottom of the sixth, then got a chance to do some scoring in the next at bat.
Wies Ligtvoet led off with a walk.
She then stole second base and moved to third base on a following throwing error.
Next batter Cindy van der Zanden also walked.
Hereafter, a wild pitch set the two runners in motion.
Ligtvoet was unable to score and was eliminated at the plate.
But Roef! got another runner on third base, as Van der Zanden first advanced on the wild pitch, then continued on the throw to the plate.
Elizabeth Snow followed with runscoring double.
The bases then got loaded when Kim Donkers walked and Eva van Knegsel singled.
With the score at 5-2 and the bases loaded (and thus the tying run on first base), Pioniers also made a pitching change.
Iris Strookman took over, but she walked Sophie Verdaasdonk, which made it a 5-3 score.
But the inning and the game then ended when Amy Udink grounded into a double play.
