Game Notes: Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the game between the Netherlands and Great Britain, which started at 4:00 PM. This is the tenth game in history between the two countries. The Dutch team has won eight games, the British won one. The eighth victory of the Dutch vs. the British was accomplished this morning. With an 8-2 victory, the Dutch clinched a spot in the Play-Offs, this combined with the 9-1 victory of Greece vs. Czech Republic, which therefore was eliminated. Despite the loss, the British team also qualified itself for the Play-offs. The British and Dutch finished in a 3-way tie with Russia, which handed Italy its first loss of the event (4-0). But as the British and Dutch both won against Russia, they qualified, while the Russians therefore were eliminated. Russia and Czech Republic are the first who are finished playing. Russia finished in fifth place, the Czech in sixth place. As the Dutch team beat both Great Britain and Russia, it finished in third place in the final phase and will meet Great Britain in the Play-Off opener. Italy finished in first place, as it has won against Greece. These two teams will meet tonight. The winner will clinch a spot in the final, which will be played tomorrow. The winner of this game tomorrow afternoon will play against the losing team of the tonight's contest between Greece and Italy. The losing team is eliminated and will finish in fourth place. The winner also will qualifly for the World Championships 2006 in China. By finishing in first and second place in the final phase, Italy and Greece already qualified for the World Championships. The four best teams of the final phase now have qualified for the Play-Offs, which opens at 4:00 PM. As mentioned before, the teams that eventually will finish in first, second and third place tomorrow not only will win gold, silver and bronze on this European Championships, but also will qualify for the World Championships 2006 in Beijing (China). Italië eindigde op de eerste plaats, omdat het van Griekenland heeft gewonnen. Deze twee ploegen treffen elkaar vanavond. De winnaar van dat duel plaatst zich voor de finale, die morgen wordt gespeeld.
