European Cup: Neptunus, Amsterdam open with victories

AMSTERDAM (Neth.) / PARMA (Italy) -
DOOR Neptunus opened the European Cup Tournament in Parma on Wednesday with a 7-3 win vs. T&A San Marino.
The game was interrupted by heavy rain for more than one and a half hour in the bottom of the eighth inning with Neptunus leading 6-3.
After the delay, Neptunus added a run and won 7-3 in a game that was highlighted by a triple play of the Neptunian defense.
In Amsterdam, L&D Amsterdam Pirates trailed 4-0 after five innings vs. Heidenheim Heideköpfe (Germany), but then Percy Isenia started the comeback with a 2-run homerun.
Amsterdam turned the game around and won 7-4.
