Bernadina homers in comeback
Nederlands
WASHINGTON, D.C. (USA) - Roger Bernadina has hit a homerun in his first full game since being recalled by the Washington Nationals.

After being recalled on September 2, he was used as a pinch-hitter the same evening in a 7-3 loss at home against the New York Mets and then grounded into a double play.

On Saturday, Bernadina was the second batter and played in rightfield in the next home game against the Mets. He went 1-for-4 with a walk in an 8-7 victory and in the fifth inning, he hit a solo-homerun off Dillon Gee, which was his sixth homerun of the season.

On Sunday, the lefthander hitter was 1-for-3 in the third game against the Mets, who won 6-3. Bernadina again batted second and this time played in leftfield, as Jayson Werth played in centerfield, which was the main position of Bernadina in his first 71 games in the big league this season.
