Fourth victory for Van den Hurk
NORFOLK, Virginia (USA) -
Rick van den Hurk registered his fourth win of the season on Friday-evening, as the Norfolk Tides won big vs. the Buffalo Bison, 9-0.
Van den Hurk, who is now 4-7, threw six innings and left the game with a comfortable 8-0 lead.
The righthander struckout three batters and walked one, while giving up five basehits.
After three scoreless innings, the Tides opened the score in the fourth inning on an RBI-single by Tyler Henson, but they also left the bases loaded.
The home team then rallied for seven runs in the home of the sixth inning, which started with a 2-run homerun by Jake Fox.
Later in the at bat, John Hester added a 2-run double, while two more runs were scored on a single by Brandon Snyder.
The seventh run in this inning came on a single by Brendan Harris.
Norfolk made it 9-0 in the eighth at bat.
