UVV awarded organisation 2nd All Star Game

The second Baseball All Star Game will be held this year on Sunday, June 19 at Sportpark 'De Paperclip', the site of UVV in Utrecht, the Dutch Baseball and Softball Association announced on Friday, February 18.
UVV, which will make its comeback in the highest league this year after a 22-year absende, had the best bid of the candidates for organizing this years All Star Game.
UVV wil stage a 'green' All Star Game, stating it will organize the event with eye for the environment, but also will work with biological products.
Last year, the first All Star Game was organized on July 4 at the site of ADO in The Hague. The first edition was won by Team South, 7-4 and Dwayne Kemp of DOOR Neptunus, who was 3-for-3, was named the first All Star MVP. Percy Isenia (who then played for Sparta-Feyenoord) won the first Reebok Homerun Derby, hitting 10 homeruns.
