TORONTO, Ontario (Canada) -
Dutch outfielder Greg Halman has hit his second Major League-homerun.
Last Tuesday, with the Seattle Mariners trailing 2-1, Halman hit a 3-run homerun in the top of the second inning off starter Brett Cecil of the Toronto Blue Jays to give the M's 4-2 lead.
Moments later, Brendan Ryan also homered to make it 5-2.
But in the seventh inning, the Blue Jays came alongside and went on to win 6-5 in 14 innings, ending the 4 hours 21 minutes game.
For Halman, the homerun was his 20th basehit of the season, since he was recalled early June and played in his first game on June 5.
Since then, Halman has been playing almost daily as the centerfielder of the Mariners and now has appeared in 40 games so far this season.
Halman hit his first homerun on June 15 at home against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
