Jansen wins first duel vs. Bernadina

LOS ANGELES, California (USA) - Kenley Jansen, who recently made his debut in the Major League with the Los Angeles Dodgers, won his first duel with fellow Curacao-big leaguer Roger Bernadina on Sunday-evening.
In the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals, Bernadina entered the game in the bottom of the sixth inning in a double switch move.
In the top of the seventh, Jansen was brought in as reliever for the Dodgers and faced Bernadina, who batting third in this at bat.
Bernadina was called out on strikes in this first confrontation between the two players from Curaçao.
Besides Jansen and Bernadina, there are two more players from Curaçao currently playing in the Major League: pitcher Jair Jurrjens and outfielder Andruw Jones.
