Neptunus then scored its first run in the third inning.
Gyenuar Lopez led off with a double and moved on a sac-bunt by Benjamin Dille, then Raily Legito was hit by a pitch.
A single by Gianison Boekhoudt opened the score, but Neptunus again left three runners behind in this at bat.
In the fourth, Neptunus scored its next run when Shaldimar Daantji led off with a walk, moved on a bunt-single by Mourik Huijser and scored on a single by Gyenuar Lopez.
Neptunus made it 3-0 in the fifth when Gianison Boekhoudt led off with a walk and scored on an one-out single by Adrian Anthony, but the team again stranded two runners.
In the bottom of the fifth, The Hawks narrowed the deficit to 3-2 off of Belgian starter Kenny Van Den Branden.
With one out, Berend Ruben singled, then scored on a following triple by Brian Raap.
A single by Gregory Trinidad accounted for the next run and he advanced on a single by Tim Roodenburg.
With two outs, Stephen Henson also singled in front of the catcher.
The inning then ended when Trinidad was tagged out by catcher Mourik Huijser after overrunning third base on Henson's single.

But then Dwayne Kemp connected for a 2-run single to make it a 5-2 score.
Three relievers then closed the game for Neptunus in the final three innings.
Berry van Driel retired the side, including two strikeouts, in the seventh.
In the eighth inning, Kevin Kelly struckout three batters to earn his league-leading third Hold.
In the ninth, Loek van Mil took over.
With two outs, he gave up a single to Brian Raap (who then stole second base) and walked Gregory Trinidad.
After Raap moved to third base on a wild pitch, Van Mil ended the game by striking out Tim Roodenburg to earn his first save of the season.

Curaçao Neptunus won 5-2 vs. Mampaey The Hawks on a rainy Sunday-afternoon (May 3).
With the win, Neptunus completed a 3-game sweep, while The Hawks lost its ninth game in a row since the start of the season.
