Marines take third lead in Japan Series
Nederlands
CHIBA (Japan) - On Thursday, the Chiba Lotte Marines took the lead in the Japan Series for the third time, winning 10-4 vs. the Chunichi Dragons.

...Tae-Kyun Kim...
In the top of the first inning, the Dragons initially took an 1-0 lead off American starter Hayden Penn, but then the Marines rallied for four runs in their first at bat off starter Kenichi Nakata, who gave up 13 hits and nine runs in the five innings he pitched. With the bases loaded and one out, a 2-run double by Toshiaki Imae and RBI-singles by Kazuya Fukuura and Tae-Kyun Kim (who was 4-for-4) then gave the Marines a 4-1 lead.

In 2000, Kim participated with the national junior-team of Korea in the World Junior Championship in Edmonton (Canada), where it won the world title. In 2001, he made his professional debut playing for the Hanwha Eagles in the professional baseball-league in Korea, where he played until last year.

In the fourth, Saburo Omura hit a 2-run homerun to increase the lead to 6-1, while rookie Ikuhiro Kiyota was 2-for-4 and added two RBI's.

Tony Blanco homered twice and got three RBI's for the Dragons.
