BUSSUM (Neth.) - HCAW collected 15 basehits, including three by Dirimo Enrique Chavez, while his countryman Wuilluians Martin Vasquez had three RBI's and doubled twice. Kevin Miner went the distance and gave up five hits.

But in the first five innings, it was only an 1-0 game. HCAW broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning when Randy Daal singled with one out, then advanced to third base on a double by Dirimo Enrique Vasquez. He then scored when rookie Mitchel Koot followed with a single, but two runners stranded as a pop-up and strikeout followed.

ADO got two runners on base with two outs in the fifth, but was unable to score, then HCAW got the bases loaded in its fifth, but didn't score also.

After a coaching visit, Adrian Anthony also singled to bring in two runs, which marked the end for starter Jurrian Koks. His reliever Martijn Riphagen then walked Michael Pluijmers and Bart Gabriëls, resulting in another run. Next, Randy Daal delivered an RBI-single and Wuilluians Martin Vasquez cleared the bases with a 3-run double. Riphagen was replaced by Tjibbe van Dijk, who started with a strikeout, but then gave up an RBI-single to Chavez (his second single in this at bat) to make it 9-0, before he himself became the final out in the at bat trying to advance to second base.

In the seventh inning, HCAW reached the 10-run difference when Quensley Bazoer scored on a basesloaded walk for Bart Gabriëls.
