Amsterdam Pirates to meet San Marino in Final Four
LAUSANNE (Switzerland) -
The Technical Committee of the European Baseball Confederation (CEB) has confirmed the schedule for the European Cup Final Four, which will be held on September 21 and 22 in Brno (Czech Republic).
In this schedule, the winners of the two recently completed European Cup Qualifiers will meet the teams, that finished in second place.
This means that L&D Amsterdam Pirates will meet T&A San Marino (San Marino) on Wednesday, September 21 in the first game of the 2-day event.
The game will start at 1 PM.
Later on the day, starting at 6 PM, the Italian teams UGF Fortitudo Bologna and ASD Parma will play against each other.
On Thursday, September 22, the two losing teams will face each other at 1 PM, then the two winners will play the final, starting at 6 PM.
The starting times of the games might change due to broadcasting by Czech television.
On June 4, Amsterdam Pirates qualified for the Final Four by winning four games in a row at the tournament they hosted on its home site in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
Amsterdam then lost the final game vs. Bologna the next day to finish in second place.
At the tournament in Parma (Italy), San Marino finished in first place, followed by Parma.
At that tournament, DOOR Neptunus was eliminated for the Final Four.
