Starting Pitchers Easter Weekend
THE HAGUE / ROTTERDAM / BUSSUM / UTRECHT / AMSTERDAM / HAARLEM / HOOFDDORP (Neth.) - In the upcoming Easter Weekend, four 3-game series are scheduled, meaning twelve games will be played and so, 24 pitchers have gotten an asignment from eight Head Coaches to start these games, which will be played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Six of the coaches announced on Thurday that they stick with the same starting rotations as they used in their previous series, one coach made a change and the eighth decided on his rotation on Friday.

Listed below, are the starters for the upcoming series.

Standings & Schedule

ADO vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
Charles Urbanus, the Head Coach of league-leader L&D Amsterdam Pirates (5-1), is using the same rotation as he did in the first two weeks of the season vs. DOOR Neptunus and Mr. Cocker HCAW. In the upcoming series vs. ADO, Amsterdam will have to do without Kenny Berkenbosch, who was operated on his knee on Wednesday and now will work on his recovery.

Aldric Dunlop, Head Coach of ADO (0-3), is using the same rotation as last week against Corendon Kinheim, meaning he will start the first two games with a lefthander. Returning to the field this weekend is veteran Harvey Gumbs, who was sidelined with a shoulder-injury and therefore missed the Opening Series. In 1999, Gumbs played for the Amsterdam-squad.

Last weekend, Amsterdam swept Mr. Cocker HCAW in a 3-game series, while ADO was swept in three games by Corendon Kinheim.

Neptunus started the season with another rotation vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates, then changed its Number 3 starter for last week's series vs. Sparta-Feyenoord and these same pitchers are assigned again for coming weekend.

Kinheim comes back with the same rotation it used last week vs. ADO and also will have a happy Patrick Beljaards in the bullpen, as the veteran lefthander became the father of a daughter on Wednesday.

Bill Froberg, the Head Coach of Mr. Cocker HCAW (0-3), announced his rotation on Friday, as he and his staff had to make some decisions regarding their starters. HCAW still has to do without Venezuelan righthander Roger Luque, who was scheduled to arrive before the start of the season a week ago, but then encountered visa problems and was unable to travel. No new arrival date has been announced yet. Besides that, lefthander Joey Eijpe slightly injured himself, but he will be available. Initially, this also was scheduled for last weekend, but then Gustina was stricken by the flu, resulting in the two being switched for the first two games. Bernadina also changed his Game 3-starter, as RHP Rudy Seebus starts instead of RHP Maikel Berghmans.
