Neptunus takes 1st place on crazy Saturday
Nederlands
THE HAGUE / HOOFDDORP / HAARLEM / BUSSUM (Neth.) - DOOR Neptunus moved into first place on a wild Saturday! In total, 59 runs were scored in the four games, 87 basehits were recorded, two teams that were outhit won, one game was decided in a tie-break, two teams had monster-innings, scoring 22 runs combined in the eighth inning to turn their game around and win!

DOOR Neptunus became the new league-leader by handing ADO a big 16-0 shutout-loss on 16 basehits. Neptunus had a 7-run rally in the fourth inning vs. ADO, which is now 0-10 at home.

Sparta-Feyenoord led 2-0 and 3-2 vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW, which came alongside twice to force extra innings. In the eleventh, Sparta-Feyenoord scored twice to win 5-3 and give Bobby Carrington (who went the distance) his first win of the season.

The line scores of the games in Haarlem and Hoofddorp gave a similar view for the two home teams. Corendon Kinheim and Vaessen Pioniers both trailed when the home of the eighth inning started, but then they started a huge rally to win, despite being outhit by their opponents. At Haarlem, Kinheim trailed 7-0 vs. UVV when it scored 13 runs on seven hits and three errors in the eighth to win 13-7. At Hoofddorp, Pioniers trailed 5-1 vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates when it rallied for nine runs in their eighth at bat to win 10-5.
