National Team participates in Zeister Slot Tournament

The Dutch National Men Softball Team participates this weekend in the 28th edition of the annual Zeister Slot Tournament in Zeist.
Besides the Dutch Team, the other participants are Czech Republic Under 19, Denmark B, Germany National Team, Lakenheath (Great Britain), Meteors London (Great Britain) and host Phoenix.
Germany is participating for the first time in the event.
On Saturday, the first games are played at 9 AM.
The Dutch Team plays its first game at 11 AM meeting Lakenheath, then meets Germany at 1 PM.
The team closes the day vs. the Czech squad starting at 7 PM.
On Sunday, the Dutch again play three games, meeting Phoenix, Denmark and Meteors.
On Monday, the finals are scheduled.
The game between the Dutch and German National Teams on Saturday will be the first between the two countries in history.
Last week, the Dutch squad played the first two games ever against Indonesia, which was preparing for the ISF World Cup in Prague (Czech Republic).
At Amstelveen (Netherlands), the Dutch Team won the first game on Tuesday, May 31, 11-0, but was then shutout 4-0 in the next game on Sunday, June 5.
The Dutch Team finished in fourth place during the last two tournaments in Zeist which were won by the national teams of Czech Republic (2010) and Denmark (2009).
