André Prins to coach French Team
AMSTERDAM (Neth.) -
Veteran softball-coach André Prins will return to international coaching again in 2011, as he accepted a postion as Head Coach of the national softball-team of France, he confirmed today during the second edition of the Right To Play Future Stars Tournament in Amsterdam.
With the French National Women Team, Prins will participate this year in the European Championship in August in Italy.
Last year, Prins headed the French National Junior Team at the European Junior Championship in Vienna (Austria).

Prins also returns to clubcoaching this season, as he took over as Head Coach of Gryphons, which is playing in the second highest league, to so-called 'Overgangsklasse'.
Prins is no stranger to international softball, as he was a member of the coachingstaff of the Dutch National Team in 2005, while also being a coach of the Dutch National Junior Team the same year.
From 2006-2009, Prins was the Head Coach of the Dutch National Youth Program.
In 2007, he guided the Dutch Juniors to its first Play-Offs on a World Championship when the event was held in Enschede (Netherlands).
In 2008, he led the Junior-team to the European title in Germany and in 2009, he captured the silver medal with the National Youth Team during the Youth World Cup in the Czech Republic.
In the past, he coached both the National and Junior Teams of Russia, as well as Moscow-based team Caroussel.
Besides being active internationally as a coach and clinician (he traveled to several countries last year), Prins was a coach and instructor at the clublevel for several Dutch clubs, including Westerkwartier, VUC, Storks, Sparta, Euro Stars and Gryphons.
