The Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday won their first games of the National League Division Series, while the New York Yankees won their interrupted first game in the American League Division Series and the Texas Rangers equaling their Series.
The Brewers won 4-1 vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks, highlighted by a 2-run homerun by Prince Fielder.
The Phillies trailed 3-0 in the first inning, but defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 11-6, thanks to a 5-run rally in the sixth inning when Ryan Howard hit a 3-run homerun and Raul Ibanez a 2-run shot.
The Texas Rangers also trailed 3-0, but then scored five runs in the fourth inning to win 8-6 vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.
The New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers resumed their game in the second inning after it was halted by rain on Friday and won 9-3, highlighted by a grand slam homerun by Robinson Cano.
