Bert Blyleven also joins Dutch coaching-staff

Former Major League-pitcher Bert Blyleven will be the Pitching Coach of the Dutch National Team during the upcoming World Baseball Classic next March.
Last week, it was announced that Hensley Meulens will be the Dutch Manager during the event.
Current Pitching Coach Steve Janssen will assist Blyleven, who was elected into the Hall of Fame in January of last year.
Current Manager Brian Farley will assist Meulens during the Classic.
Blyleven was born in Zeist (Netherlands) in 1951, but moved with his parents to the USa at age 2.
There, he went on to pitch 22 seasons (1970-1992) in the Major League.
Blyleven played for the Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians and California Angels.
In his career, Blyleven won 287 games and struckout 3701 batters, which put him in fifth place on the all-time list.
Blyleven was twice a member of a World Series-winning team.
In 2009, during the previous World Baseball Classic, Blyleven also served as Pitching Coach of the Dutch squad.
