 UVV closes in on Pioniers

UVV on Thursday-evening opened its 3-game series vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW with a 3-1 victory, while Vaessen Pioniers was nipped 4-3 by DOOR Neptunus to set up an interesting weekend.
With the win, UVV is now only four points (or two wins) behind Pioniers, which is in fourth place.
After this weekend, UVV meets Sparta-Feyenoord in its final series of the regular season, while Pioniers plays vs. AamigoO ADO Lakers.
But the upcoming two games in the weekend will be crucial for both teams to set up the deciding final series.
League-leader L&D Amsterdam Pirates won 10-2 vs. Sparta-Feyenoord, while Corendon Kinheim shutout ADO Lakers 7-0.
