First loss UVV; Second win The Hawks

League-leader UVV led 2-1 after six innings on Saturday-afternoon against DOOR Neptunus, but then gave up two runs (one unearned) in the seventh inning, leading to their first loss of the season, 3-2.
Mampaey The Hawks won its second game in a row against ADO Lakers with the same score as last Thursday, 9-8.
Like two days ago, The Hawks initially held a big lead, 6-1 after four innings, but ADO Lakers came back again and was leading 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Hawks then came alongside and eventually won in the tenth inning.
After losing the series-opener on Thursday, Corendon Kinheim today won 7-4 at L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
Vaessen Pioniers won 7-1 vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW, which suffered its fifth consecutive loss.
UVV vs. DOOR Neptunus
At Vleuten, unbeaten league-leader UVV led 2-1 after six innings on Saturday-afternoon against DOOR Neptunus and appeared to be en route to its fifth win in a row.
But in the seventh inning, the team gave up two runs (one unearned), resulting in their first loss of the season, 3-2.
In the first inning, UVV scored twice off of Orlando Yntema, who pitched for UVV last season.
Norbert Jongerius led off with a bunt-single and advanced on a passed ball and a grounder.
After Dennis De Quint walked, he stole second base, but then a throwing error followed, enabling Jongerius to score.
A grounder by Ricky Daal then made it 2-0.
Hereafter, Yntema and three relievers gave up no more runs and only four hits in the next eight innings.
Ian Delemarre, who started for UVV instead of announced starter Dennis Burgersdijk, gave up only three hits to Neptunus in 5 2/3 inning.
In the sixth inning, the young righthander gave up a lead-off double to Shaldimar Daantji, who moved on a grounder, then scored on a grounder by Gianison Boekhoudt.
Next, Jerremyh Angela took over the pitching and hit Raily Legito with a pitch, but he was caught stealing to end the inning.
In the next at bat, Neptunus turned the game around when it scored twice.
Dwayne Kemp and Rafaël Jozefa led off with singles and both moved on a grounder by Rudy Van Heydoorn.
A grounder by Benjamin Dille then tied the score.
On this grounder, Jozefa moved to third base and when a throwing error from first baseman Ricky Daal followed trying to eliminate him, the third run was scored to give Neptunus the lead.

Mampaey The Hawks vs. ADO Lakers
Mampaey The Hawks won its second game in a row against ADO Lakers with the same score as last Thursday, 9-8.
Like two days ago, The Hawks initially held a big lead, 6-1 after four innings, but ADO Lakers came back again and was leading 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Hawks then came alongside and eventually won in the tenth inning.
ADO Lakers initially took an 1-0 lead in the first inning, but The Hawks reacted with two runs, which were both scored on a wild pitch by Wimsley van Heijningen.
The Hawks then enlarged it lead in the fourth inning by scoring four runs.
Bob de Bruijn led off with a walk and Coen Merkx doubled with one out, then singles by Berend Ruben (one run) and Shurendell Borgschot (two runs) led to three runs.
A walk then loaded the bases and a following grounder first led to a force out at home, but also a run.
Trailing 6-1, ADO Lakers got a run back in the fifth on a basesloaded walk, but also left the bases loaded.
Two runs were added in the sixth on a force play-grounder by Edison Bito and single by Wamaer Bordewijk.
ADO Lakers then narrowed the deficit to 6-5 in the eighth when Bito stole home, while runner Tim Schaareman stole second base.
They then took a 7-6 lead in the ninth on a grounder by Ludwin Obispo and a single by Rodney Michel.
But in the home of the ninth, The Hawks tied the score on a single by De Bruijn to force extra innings.
In the tenth, ADO Lakers took a 8-7 lead on a single by Michel.
But the lead was shortlived, as The Hawks answered with two runs to win the game.
With the tie-break runners on first and second base, the bases were loaded when Frans van den Heuvel was hit by a pitch, then a grounder by Steven Wharwood tied the score.
A force play-grounder by Berry van Donselaar then produced the winning run.

L&D Amsterdam Pirates vs. Corendon Kinheim
After losing the series-opener on Thursday, Corendon Kinheim today won 7-4 at L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
Kinheim took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a single by Mervin Gario and sac-fly by Ramiro Balentina, but Amsterdam came alongside moments later.
In the fourth, Jesse Aussems led off with a single and scored on a wild pitch and in the fifth, another wild pitch by starter Steven van Groningen enabled Rashid Gerard to score the tying run.
In the sixth, Kinheim re-took the lead on a single by Björn Henrichs and sac-fly by Roy Seltenrijch to make it 4-2.
The lead was increased to 7-2 in the ninth inning off relievers Kyle Ward and Jurrian Koks.
A force play-grounder by Dirk van 't Klooster, double by Balentina and grounder by Bryan Engelhardt led to the runs.
In the home of the ninth, Pirates scored twice off of Pim Walsma on a 2-run double by Wesley Connor, but also left two runners.

Vaessen Pioniers won 7-1 vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW, which suffered its fifth consecutive loss.
Pioniers-starter Josh Rickards struckout ten batters and gave up only four hits in seven innings, while his teammates built a 4-0 lead.
In the second inning, HCAW-starter Iván Granados hit Mark-Jan Moorman with a pitch, who later scored on a single by Michael Pluijmers.
Two runs were added in the third at bat on a 2-run double by Phil Ortez and the lead was increased to 4-0 in the fourth inning, thanks to a single by Mark Duursma, who was 4-for-4.
In the top of the seventh inning, Rickards gave up the lone run to HCAW on a grounder by Jorin van Amstel.
But in the eighth, Pioniers scored three more runs to make it 7-1.
A 2-run double by Zerzinho Croes and double by Danny Rombley accounted for the runs.
