Kinheim adds former pro Dudley Leonora to roster

Corendon Kinheim has added utility player Dudley Leonora to its big league-roster for this season, the club announced today (March 1).
Last year, the 23-year old former professional played for Santa Maria Pirates on Curaçao.
Leonora already has arrived in the Netherlands and has joined his new teammates for several indoor practice sessions.

Dudley Leonora is born on December 15, 1991 on Saint Martin, another Caribbean island which is part of the Kingdom on the Netherlands.
In 2009-2012, Leonora played professionally in the organisation of the Baltimore Orioles, but he was then released after the 2012 season.
In his four professional seasons, Leonora played in both the infield (3rd base, 2nd base) and the outfield and appeared in 242 games.
At age 17, Leonora made his professional debut when he played in 67 games for the Orioles in its Rookie League-team in the Dominican Summer League.
There, he batted .241 (62-for-257), scored 26 runs and batted in 21.
In that season, Leonora also hit the only homerun in his professional career.
In 2010, Leonora again played in the Rookie League, but this time in the USA.
He played in 38 games for the Bluefield Orioles in the Appalachian League and 20 for the Gulf Coast League Orioles in the Gulf Coast League (Florida).
While playing for Bluefield, Leonora batted .245 (35-for-143), scored 22 runs and had 15 RBI's.
With the GCL Orioles, he batted .288 (21-for-73), scored twelve runs and batted in twelve.
Leonora then promoted to Single-A in 2011 and then also played for two teams.
He played in 67 games for the Aberdeen IronBirds in the New York-Penn League (Single-A Short Season), where he batted .242 (58-for-240), scored 19 runs and batted in six.
Also in 2011, Leonora played in 22 games for the Delmarva Shorebirds in the South Atlantic League (Single-A), hitting .151 (11-for-73), while scoring two runs and batting in ten.
While playing for Aberdeen, Leonora was elected to play in the annual All Star Game of the NY-Penn League.
In 2012, Leonora played for the same two teams.
He played in twelve games for Aberdeen, hitting .200 (7-for-35), scored once and batted in three.
With Delmarva, he batted .163 (8-for-49), scored three runs and had no runs batted in.
After being released after the the 2012 season, Leonora returned to Curaçao where he went on to play for the Santa Maria Pirates.
