ROTTERDAM (Neth.) -
On a somewhat rainy and cool Saturday-afternoon, Curaçao Neptunus won 8-3 in a 9-inning exhibition game against Solingen Alligators.
A week ago, Solingen was shutout twice by L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
The two reigning champions of respectively the Netherlands and Germany will meet again on Sunday-afternoon, but then a lot of rain is expected.
In today's game, Diegomar Markwell started for Neptunus and pitched the first four inning for the Rotterdam-squad in his first appearance in the exhibition season.
In the fifth inning, Loek van Mil took over and threw one inning for Neptunus.
Floris Timmer then became the third pitcher for the team of Head Coach Evert-Jan 't Hoen and threw the final four innings.
Today started rainy, but that stopped around 1 PM, an hour before the start of the game and it then stayed in the remainder of the day.
No other details are available for this game.
