The Hawks took an 1-0 lead in the second inning off of starter Orlando Yntema.
Steven Wharwood led off with a triple and scored on a following single by Gregory Trinidad.
The latter then was forced out on a grounder by Julian Goins, who stole second base, but then stranded.
The lead was shortlived, as Neptunus came alongside in the third inning, scoring an unearned run.
With two outs, Gyenuar Lopez walked, moved to third base when Benjamin Dille reached on a throwing error, then scored on a wild pitch.
For Lopez, this was his first game of the season after havng recovered from a severe ankle-injury.
Lopez broke his ankle on August 14 last year in the first game of the Play-Offs against Vaessen Pioniers.
He underwent surgery, got some pins in his ankle and since then started his recovery.
In February, the pins were removed from his ankle and he started training again.
Tonight, Lopez made his comeback and played four innings.
The Hawks got a chance of re-taking the lead in the fourth.
With two outs, Julian Goins walked and stole second base, then advanced on a single by Wijnand Ruben, but then was left behind.
Neptunus broke the 1-1 tie in the fifth inning.
With one out, Christian Diaz (who replaced Lopez in the fifth) walked and stole second base, then scored when Benjamin Dille singled.
In the sixth, Neptunus made a 3-1 score.
With one out, Dwayne Kemp walked, then stole second base and advanced on a throwing error.
Moments later, he scored with two outs on a wild pitch.
Neptunus added two more runs in the eighth inning off of Evan Simons, who had taken over for starter Quinn Tramm in the sixth.
With one out, Rien Vernooij singled, then Shurman Marlin followed with his first career big league-homerun in the regular season.
He did hit a homerun during last years Holland Series.
