In today's game, Neptunus used only three innings to do the scoring, but it were multi-run rallies.
The team opened the score with five runs in the third at bat, added seven in the fifth and rallied for six runs in the sixth.
Initially, Neptunus got only two baserunners in the first two innings off of starter Glenn Wassink.
In the first inning, Stijn van der Meer led off with a single and John Polonius walked.
Next, first baseman Koen Halderman made an unassisted double play on a line drive by Dwayne Kemp and Wassink closed with a strikeout.
Neptunus was then retired in order in the second inning.
With two outs in the third inning, Neptunus rallied for five runs on six basehits.
After the first two batters were retired, Stijn van der Meer and John Polonius singled, then Dwayne Kemp followed with a runscoring single.
Hereafter, the bases got loaded when Gianison Boekhoudt walked.
Two runs were then added on a single by Dashenko Ricardo and the bases were re-loaded when Dudley Leonora also singled.
Next batter Darryl Collins then connected for a 2-run double to make it a 5-0 score.
After a scoreless fourth inning, Neptunus staged a 7-run rally in the fifth to take a decisive lead.
Again, six basehits were recorded in this productive at bat.
It all began with a lead-off double by Gianison Boekhoudt, then Dashenko Ricardo walked.
Dudley Leonora and Darryl Collins followed with runscoring singles.
That also led to a pitching change, as Martijn Schoonderwoerd took over for Wassink.
He was greeted with an RBI-single by Gregory Muller.
With one out, the bases got loaded when Stijn van der Meer connected for the next basehit.
Hereafter, the bases were cleared, while the batter himself also scored.
No, this was not a grand slam-homerun, but four runs were scored.
With the bases loaded, John Polonius drilled the ball into centerfield for what became a baseclearing, 3-run double.
As an outfield-error followed, Polonius was able to continue running around the bases to also score himself.
That lifted the score to 12-0.
The scoring wasn't over yet, as six more runs were added in the sixth inning.

In this inning, Moreno Vork was the new pitcher for DSS/Kinheim.
He gave up lead-off singles to Julian Goins and Dudley Leonora.
Goins had entered the game in the fifth as new catcher for Neptunus.
With one out, Goins scored on a double by Gregory Muller.
The next run scored on a single by Shaldimar Daantji and with this, all nine starting players had no collected at least one basehit.
With runners on first and third base, Stijn van der Meer followed with a sacrifice fly.
Hereafter, John Polonius reached on an error, what would have been the third out.
Instead, there were two baserunners and two outs.
Next batter Dwayne Kemp connected well and hit a 3-run homerun, which made it an 18-0 score.
It also ended the afternoon for Vork, who was replaced by veteran Al Morales Gomes.
He ended the inning with a strikeout.
For DSS/Kinheim, only two batters reached base in the first five innings off of Orlando Yntema.
With one out in the first inning, Jochem Koedijk reached on an error, but stranded on first base.
In the second, Kevin Nieveld led off with a single, but was eliminated in a double play.
Yntema then retired the side in the next three innings.
With two outs in the sixth inning, DSS/Kinheim got its next baserunner when Bram Blokker reached on an infield-hit.
He also was left behind on first base.
DSS/Kinheim got into scoring postion for the first time in the bottom of the seventh off of veteran Elton Koeiman, who took over for Yntema.
With one out, Tommy van de Sanden and pinch-hitter Mitchel Dautzenberg both singled.
Dautzenberg played in his first game of the season today.
The two advanced on a grounder by Koen Halderman.
While next batter Aidan Finnegan followed with a line drive on the first delivery by Koeiman, the team was denied a run.
The ball was caught by short stop John Polonius.
And that ended the game.
