 Three series-openers rain out

   AMERSFOORT / AMSTERDAM / BUSSUM (Neth.) -
Three series-openers, scheduled to be played on Thursday-evening (September 3), were cancelled due to rain and field-conditions.
It rained for part of the day, which made the playing sites in Amsterdam, Amersfoort and Bussum unplayable.
The lone game that was played tonight was the opener between Curaçao Neptunus and Hoofddorp Pioniers in Rotterdam.
With the completion of this series, the regular season will end.
There is one make-up game scheduled for coming Tuesday.
Next Thursday, the postseason begins with a Top-4 Pool and Bottom-4 Pool.
In Amersfoort, the first game of the series between Quick Amersfoort and DSS/Kinheim was cancelled.
This game has been re-scheduled for Friday in Amersfoort.
In Amsterdam, the opening game between L&D Amsterdam Pirates and Silicon Storks was cancelled.
The game was postponed for twenty minutes, but then was cancelled.
The game also is re-scheduled for Friday-evening in Amsterdam.
And in Bussum, the game between Twins Oosterhout and HCAW was srcubbed after a period of waiting.
The game was first postponed for 15 minutes, then 25 minutes more, but in the end, playing was not possible.
The game is a home-game for Twins, but as the light-installation at its home-site in Oosterhout is not sufficient enough for the big league, the team this season plays it's evening home-games at the site of its opponent.
The game is re-scheduled for coming Saturday, also in Bussum, as Game 1 of a double-header, followed by the regular scheduled second game.
