On a hot afternoon in Amersfoort, the first six innings of the game were well-balanced, as the pitchers of both teams didn't allow much.
But from the seventh innning on, the game belonged to Amsterdam Pirates.

The righthander gave up an one-out single to Kenny Berkenbosch in the second inning, but he was forced out.

The game then turned around in the top of the seventh.
This time, Rifaela saw the first four batters of Pirates reach base.

With two outs, the team got the bases loaded when Delano Selassa and Rashid Gerard both singled and Max Clarijs received his third walk in the game.
Jasper Popken then took over the pitching for Quick and got an inning-ending flyout, meaning three runners were left behind.
But in the ninth inning, Amsterdam Pirates scored an insurance run.
With one out, Sharlon Schoop singled, then both Denzel Richardson and Kalian Sams walked.
Another pitching change followed, as Taylor Clemensia took over.
However, the lefthander hit Kenny Berkenbosch with a pitch and that made it a 4-1 score.
