Quick Amersfoort opened the score in the top of the second inning off of Twins-starter Sora Sakashita.
Lead-off hitter Ademar Rifaela reached on an error, then the bases got loaded with one out when Rowan van Hoek was hit by a pitch and Emeron Lourens singled.
Only one run was scored, which was done by Rifaela on a grounder by Amar van Zwieten, who played in his first game of the season for Quick.
He was added to the active roster, as designated hitter/first baseman Bryan Engelhardt and outfielder Roger Bernadina are currently sidelined with an injury.
With runners on second and third base, the inning ended with a grounder.
Twins Oosterhout answered with two runs in the bottom of the second inning off of starter Brian van Laar.
The lefthander walked lead-off hitter Tyriq Kemp in the first inning, but he was caught stealing.
In the second at bat, Shurman Marlin led off for Twins with a double, then Ruendrick Piternella followed with a homerun to give his team a 2-1 lead.
In the third and fourth inning, Quick got on base again off of Sora Sakashita, but didn't score.
With two outs in the third, Tijmen Takke singled and Ademar Rifaela walked, but the Japanese righthander closed with a strikeout.
In the fourth, Sakashita walked lead-off hitter Rowan van Hoek, but then was supported with a double play.
Hereafter, Amar van Zwietten singled, then was caught stealing.
Twins added another run in the bottom of the fourth.
Jason Halman led off for Twins and didn't have to do anything to circle the bases.
He reached base on a walk, was awarded second base when a balk was called, moved to third base on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball.
And that all happened before the next batter reached base!
That next batter was Diamond Silberie, who also walked, but this time, a double play followed.
With two outs, Van Laar walked his seventh and eighth batter in less than four innings.
He was replaced by rookie Stijn Bruins Slot, who got an inning-ending flyout.
Both teams got on second base in the fifth inning.
For Quick, Joran Berkhout led off with a single and stole second base, but was left behind.
For Twins, lead-off hitter Junior Martina was hit by a pitch.
With one out, he stole second base, overran the base and was eliminated after all.
In the top of the sixth, Quick came alongside when Ademar Rifaela and Taylor Clemensia led off with back-to-back homeruns.
Hereafter, Rowan van Hoek walked, but later stranded on second base.
In the bottom of the sixth, Twins re-took the lead.
With one out, Diamond Silberie tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Railison Bentura, which put Twins ahead, 4-3.
In the top of the seventh, Thijs Steenwijk took over the pitching for Twins.
He got two quick outs, but then ran into problems.
With two outs, Tijmen Takke and Ademar Rifaela singled, then the bases got loaded when Taylor Clemensia walked.
The tying run was scored moments later when a balk was called.
With runners now on second and third base, Rowan van Hoek delivered a 2-run single to put Quick ahead 6-4.
Twins got one run back in the bottom of the seventh.
With two outs, Junior Martina reached on a bunt-single and advanced when a throwing error followed.
Martina then scored on a single by Shurman Marlin.
He tried to stretch it into a double, but was eliminated at second base to end the inning.
After both teams were retired in order in the eighth inning, Quick added an insurance run in the top of the ninth.
Tijmen Takke led off with his third single in the game.
He then stole second base, moved to third base on a throwing error and scored on an one-out single by Taylor Clemensia.
Trailing 7-5, Twins got a small chance to do something back in the bottom of the ninth.
With one out, Rayshelon Carolina singled and stole second base.
Wendell Floranus then was brought in as new pitcher, but he walked Tyriq Kemp.
Hereafter, Floranus struckout the next batter and got a force play-grounder that ended the game.
And with that, he earned his second save in two games.
