(Story by Marco Stoovelaar) No games today and Tuesday for Amsterdam Pirates and Neptunus Nederlands AMSTERDAM / ROTTERDAM (Neth.) - On Saturday-evening (September 12), it was announced that today's Game 3 of the 3-game series between L&D Amsterdam Pirates and Curaçao Neptunus has been postponed. At the same time, Tuesday-evening's make-up game also was postponed. On Friday, Amsterdam Pirates announced that Saturday's Game 2 had been postponed out of precaution due to a possible case of the coronavirus in the team of Pirates. Awaiting test-results, that game was tentatively re-scheduled for Tuesday-evening, but now has been postponed again. On its website, Amsterdam Pirates placed the following statement on Saturday-evening: ,,Games L&D Amsterdam - Neptunus postponed due to corona. Unfortunately, two people tested positive for the coronavirus at L&D Amsterdam. This means that source- and contact-research is now being carried out by the GGD. Until it is known what the advice of the GGD is, L&D Amsterdam will not come together. Therefore, tomorrow's and Tuesday's game against Neptunus will be canceled.'' New dates for the postponed games have not yet been announced. Amsterdam Pirates is scheduled to open its next 3-game series coming Thursday against HCAW. Neptunus then opens its next series against Hoofddorp Pioniers. (September 13)
