Series between Amsterdam Pirates and HCAW postponed

AMSTERDAM (Neth.) -
As was reported on Wednesday (September 16), the 3-game-series between L&D Amsterdam Pirates and HCAW has been postponed due to some positive cases of the coronavirus in the team of Pirates.
The series in the Top-4 Pool was to open tonight in Amsterdam, then continue in the weekend.
On Saturday, Game 2 was scheduled to be played in Bussum, then the series finale would follow on Sunday in Amsterdam.
Last weekend, the final two games of the 3-game series between defending champion Amsterdam Pirates and Curaçao Neptunus were also postponed.
The game scheduled for Saturday was initially postponed the day before to last Tuesday due to a possible case of the coronavirus.
But on Saturday, Amsterdam Pirates announced that two players were tested positive and with that, Sunday's game and Tuesday's make-up game were both postponed.
On Wednesday, the upcoming series against HCAW also was postponed.
On its website, Amsterdam Pirates issued the following statement:
,,In recent days, another player from L&D Amsterdam has tested positive for corona.
Because of this and the previous cases, the playoff series against HCAW tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday has been postponed''.
No new dates have been announced yet for the five games Pirates now has to make up in the coming weeks.
As of now, the best-of-seven Holland Series is scheduled to open on Thursday, October 1.
