 Starting Pitchers coming series; Rob Cordemans returns to mound

Most probable starting pitchers for the upcoming 3-game series have been announced.
Of course, as always, starting assignments can change on game-days.
On Thursday-evening, veteran righthander Rob Cordemans will make his comeback on the mound for reigning champion L&D Amsterdam Pirates in the opener of the 3-game series against DSS/Kinheim.
Cordemans was the starting pitcher for Pirates on Opening Night, July 23, against Curaçao Neptunus.
With his team leading, he was hit on his elbow by a hard comeback-grounder in the bottom of the fifth inning and left the game.
Since then, he was sidelined.
Back then, Cordemans missed 1/3 inning to become the winning pitcher, but he had to settle for a no-decision.
With his first win this season, Cordemans will record his 200th career victory to become the first pitcher in history to reach this mark.
On Thursday-evening, Cordemans will get his next chance to write history in the home-game against DSS/Kinheim.
Also on Thursday...
Gilian Wernet will make his first start of the season for Quick Amersfoort in the opener against Curaçao Neptunus.
So far, he has pitched in relief in five games.
Quick has not yet announced its starters for the games that will be played coming weekend.
DSS/Kinheim changed its rotation for its series against L&D Ansterdam Pirates.
Steven van Groningen, who had been the starter in the third game in all series played so far, will be the starter in the opener this time.
No starter has yet been announced for Sunday's third game.
Two games on Thursday-evening will be played again on other sites.
The home-game of Twins Oosterhout against Hoofddorp Pioniers will be played at the site of HCAW in Bussum.
This season, Twins plays its evening home-games at the site of its opponent, but the main-field at the Pioniers Complex in Hoofddorp in currently under renovation.
Thursday's home-game of Silicon Storks against HCAW will be played at the site of Neptunus in Rotterdam.
As Storks has no light-installation of its home-site in The Hague, it plays its evening home-games in Rotterdam.
However, twice this season, Storks had to look for another site twice, as the site of Neptunus was in use for another game.
Starting on Thursday, Hoofddorp Pioniers will play four consecutive games on another location and almost surely six.
On Thursday, Pioniers play an away-game vs. Twins Oosterhout in Bussum.
On Saturday, the team plays at home in Hoofddorp, but of Field #2 of its complex, then travels to Oosterhout for Sunday's home-game of Twins.
Next Tuesday, Pioniers will make up its first postponed game against Storks, which will be played at the site of Onze Gezellen in Haarlem.
The folllowing Thursday, Pioniers has a home-game scheduled against Quick Amersfoort.
But as its main-field is being renovated and there is no light-installation at Field #2, this game will be moved to another site.
Its next game is an away-game on Saturday in Amersfoort.
