The first two innings remained scoreless, but both teams got some baserunners in these at bats.

Neptunus-starter Diegomar Markwell retired the side in the first inning.
He then hit lead-off hitter Bryan Engelhardt with a pitch in the second inning, but he was forced out on a grounder by Joran Berkhout, who also was forced out moments later.
Joran Berkhout was a surprise player in the starting line-up of Quick Amersfoort.
Until two days ago, the outfielder was on the roster of Neptunus for whom he played in four games this season.
He walked three times and scored once.
But on Tuesday, Berkhout returned to Quick Amersfoort for whom he played in all 42 regular season-games last season.
In the transfer-period of last year, he came to Neptunus, but now, both clubs agreed for his return to Amersfoort.
Tonight, he made his comeback in the team.
He started in rightfield, was 0-for-3 with a walk and scored once.
Neptunus opened the score with two runs in the top of the third inning.
Coco Johnson led off with a walk and stole second base with one out.
John Polonius then also walked and the two runners advanced on a wild pitch from Gilian Wernet.

Hereafter, Wernet also walked Dwayne Kemp.
In a double steal-situation, Polonius scored the second run.

With one out, Ademar Rifaela reached second base on an error, then scored the tying run on a following single by Rachid Engelhardt, who later stranded on third base.
Neptunus broke the 4-4 tie with a 4-run rally in the top of the sixth off of Brian van Laar.
The lefthander had taken over the Quick-pitching in the fifth and then retired the side.
With one out in the sixth, he got the bases loaded quickly when he walked Gregory Muller, gave up a single to Coco Johnson and also walked pinch-hitter Darryl Collins.
All three scored when Stijn van der Meer followed with a baseclearing, 3-run double.
Hereafer, the next pitching change was made.
Temesh Lourens took over from Van Laar and made his debut in the highest league.
He is the brother of Emeron Lourens, the third baseman of Quick.
Lourens began with a strikeout, but then gave up a single to Dwayne Kemp that brought in Van der Meer and made it an 8-4 score.
Lourens closed with another strikeout, but Neptunus had turned the game its way.
Neptunus added a run in the seventh inning.
Dudley Leonora led off with a walk and later scored on an one-out single by Coco Johnson, his third basehit in the game.
That was followed by another pitching change, as Jasper Popken took over from Lourens.
The latter gave up the tenth Neptunus-run in the eighth inning.
John Polonius then led off with a single and advanced on a double by Dwayne Kemp, which also was his third basehit.
Polonius scored on a grounder by Dashenko Ricardo.
With Kemp on second base, Amar van Zwieten became the fifth pitcher for Quick.
He gave up a 2-out single to Quintin De Cuba, but Neptunus left two runners behind.
After Neptunus had rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth to take an 8-4 lead, the team inserted three relievers in the remainder of the game.
Misja Harcksen threw the sixth inning.
The righthander gave up an one-out single to Jules Cremer, but he stranded on first base.
Aaron de Groot then retired the side in the seventh.
Kevin Kelly took the mound for Neptunus in the eighth.
With one out, he gave up a triple to Tijmen Takke.
Kelly then struckout the next two batters.
And that also ended the game, as the 10:30 PM curfew had been reached.
