Kevin Nieveld led off with a walk, got into scoring position thanks to a sacrifice bunt by Nick Hofer and scored on a single by Donny Kuijper.
The bases then got loaded when Aidan Finnegan and Marcel Tolenaars also singled.
Kuijper scored moments later on a wild pitch, but the other two stranded, as Van Laar struckout the next two batters.
In the top of the sixth inning, DSS/Kinheim got three runners, but there were also three grounders to short and a double play.
Jochem Koedijk led off with a walk and was forced out on a grounder to short stop Rachid Engelhardt by Jeldwin Orman.
Hereafter, Engelhardt got another chance to force out a runner on a following grounder by Kevin Nieveld, but he then committed an error, which led to runners on first and third base.
Next, it was Nick Hofer, who grounded to Engelhardt.
This time, he forced out the runner from first base himself at second base and then completed a double play on first base.
Quick was retired in order in the fifth inning by Jelle Bing, but the righthander gave up a run in the sixth.
With one out, Rachid Engelhardt and Tijmen Takke singled, which gave the home-team runners at the corners.
Engelhardt scored on a sacrifice fly by Taylor Clemensia.

When a walk for Jeldwin Orman re-loaded the bases, Jasper Popken took over the pitching.
He was supported with a double play, but DSS/Kinheim now had a 5-run lead.
Robyn Clara took over the pitching for DSS/Kinheim in the bottom of the seventh.
He retired the side (two strikeouts), but then gave up three runs in the eighth.
The bases got loaded thanks to Jordy Burger (single), Rachid Engelhardt (his third single) and Tijmen Takke (walk).
All three scored when Taylor Clemensia followed with a baseclearing, 3-run double.
That narrowed the deficit to 9-7.
Clemensia advanced on a grounder by Emeron Lourens.
He then tried to score on a flyout to rightfield by Amar van Zwieten.
However, Clemensia was eliminated at the plate on a nice throw from rightfielder Nick Hofer to catcher Aidan Finnegan, which completed an important inning-ending double play.
Amar van Zwieten (who was the designated hitter) pitched the ninth inning for Quick and he saw DSS/Kinheim come close to another run.
With one out, he walked Thomas Bos, who then tried to score on a following single by Jochem Koedijk.
Bos was eliminated at the plate on a throw from centerfielder Taylor Clemensia via third baseman Emeron Lourens to rookie catcher Lars Visser.
The latter had entered the game in the sixth inning to make his debut.
