This season, Quick Amersfoort is led by René de Vries. Last season, De Vries formed a coaching-trio with Stanley Engelhardt and Cliff Foster. Initially, there were respectively the Bench Coach/3B Coach, 1B Coach and Pitching Coach in the staff of Head Coach Glenn Romney. However, after the first nine games of the season, Quick and Romney separated. The other three coaches then shared the leadership in coaching the team in the remainder of the season.

This season, De Vries is the Head Coach and he was to be assisted by Stanley Engelhardt and playing coach Bryan Engelhardt. The latter is the Hitting Coach, while his father was to return as the team's coach at first base. Unfortunately, Engelhardt Sr. is not in uniform this season to an illness.

Last weekend, Quick Amersfoort opened the shortened 2020 season with a 3-game series against HCAW. Quick lost the first two games, then the third game ended in a tie. After completion of this series, Marco Wels was added to the coaching-staff. He will support De Vries in all coaching-decisions.

In 2017-2018, Wels was the Head Coach himself of the baseball-team of Quick and therefore, he knows most of the current players. Last season, Wels was the Head Coach of DSS, but two separated in June.

Marco Wels has a long career in coaching baseball. In 1991, he made his debut as a Head Coach at Amsterdam-based OVVO, whom he led for three seasons. Wels returned to OVVO as Head Coach in 1998 when is was known as Xanthos and played in the First Division. In 1999, Xanthos promoted to the Dutch big league and Wels then led the team the following year in its first big league-season. He stepped down after the 2000 season, then returned to coaching a few years later, leading TIW-Survivors for one season. In 2004, Wels was one of the Assistant Coaches at Almere '90, whom he led as Head Coach a year later. Wels took some time off from coaching after the 2005 season, but he returned as Head Coach of Almere '90 Magpies in 2008 when it played in the First Division. In 2009, Wels led Almere to the title in the First Division and then also won the best-of-five Promotion/Relegation Series to promote to the big league. After having led Almere '90 in the big league in 2010, Wels again took some distance from coaching. In November 2016, he was named Head Coach of Quick Amersfoort and led the team in 2017-2018. After the 2018 season, he stepped down as he stated that the distance between Amersfoort and his home was ''gettting longer and longer''. A week later, he was named Head Coach of Haarlem-based DSS, which was closer to his home. But in June of last season, Wels and DSS separated after 32 games.
