(Story by Marco Stoovelaar) Make-up game Hoofddorp Pioniers vs. Amsterdam Pirates rains out again Nederlands HOOFDDORP (Neth.) - The make-up game between Hoofddorp Pioniers against L&D Amsterdam Pirates was cancelled again on Monday-evening (September 28) due to rain and field-conditons. The game is now re-scheduled for Tuesday-evening in Hoofddorp. The 3-game series opened on Thursday-evening when Amsterdam Pirates returned to action and recorded a convincing 13-1 win in 6½ inning. After Saturday's game rained out, Amsterdam Pirates won the next game on Sunday with a 6-3. Initially, Pirates was to play its first make-up game against Curaçao Neptunus on Tuesday, but that game was moved to Thursday, October 8 to make room for the game against Pioniers. With that, the series between Pirates and Pioniers stayed intact. (September 28)
