Both teams were retired in order in the first inning, then Neptunus opened the score without recording a basehit in the second inning.
Neptunus was also kept hitless in the next three innings, was unable to take more distance and faced a 2-1 deficit halfway the seventh.
The team then scored three runs to turn the game its way after all and win.
After DSS/Kinheim was retired in order again in the second inning by Neptunus-starter Diegomar Markwell, the home-team scored a run in the bottom of the second.
Gianison Boekhoudt led off with a walk and moved to third base on following grounders by Dudley Leonora and Quintin De Cuba.
Moments later, he scored on a wild pitch from starter Jelle Bing.
In the top of the third inning, Diegomar Markwell encountered some problems, as he got the bases loaded, but DSS/Kinheim failed to score.
Jeldwin Orman led off with an infield-hit, then Nick Hofer singled with one out.
The bases got loaded with two outs when Jochem Koedijk (who last season played for Neptunus), walked.
But the inning ended and three runners were left behind when next batter Tommy van de Sanden popped out.
In the fourth, Tino van Erk led off for DSS/Kinheim with a single, but Neptunus then turned a double play.
In the meantime, rookie Jelle Bing did a fine job on the mound for DSS/Kinheim.
After giving up the run in the second inning, the righthander got only two baserunners in the next three at bats.
In the third, he hit lead-off hitter Jarreau Martina, but he was caught stealing.
Bing then retired the side in the fourth.
After having retired seven consecutive batters, Bing walked Shaldimar Daantji with two outs in the fifth.
Daantji stole second base, but stranded there, as Bing closed with a strikeout.
In the top of the sixth, Bing also got some run-support from his teammates.
Jochem Koedijk led off with a single and scored the tying run when Tommy van de Sanden followed with a double.
He moved to third base on the throw to the plate, then scored on an one-out single by Kevin Nieveld to put DSS/Kinheim ahead, 2-1.
But moments later, Nieveld was caught stealing after a pick-off to first base by Markwell, who then closed with a strikeout.
But DSS/Kinheim now led 2-1 and that made Bing the pitcher-of-record for the win.
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Bing's No-Hitter ended when John Polonius singled, but he was left behind on first base.
In the top of the seventh, Aaron de Groot took over the pitching for Neptunus and retired the side.
In the bottom of the seventh, the game turned the way of Neptunus.
With a 2-1 lead, Bas Timmer became the new pitcher for DSS/Kinheim in the bottom of the seventh, but ran into problems.
He walked lead-off hitter Gianison Boekhoudt, who then scored the tying run when an outfield-error followed on a single by next batter Dudley Leonora.
With Leonora on second base, Quintin De Cuba walked and the bases got loaded via a bunt-single by veteran Shaldimar Daantji, who showed that he is still a speedy runner.
With the bases loaded, Calvin Andringa took over the pitching, but he enabled Leonora to score the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.
The bases were re-loaded when Jarreau Martina walked.
With still no outs, the next run was scored when pinch-hitter Dashenki Ricardo grounded into a double play.
After Aaron de Groot had retired the side in the top of the eighth, Neptunus added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth off of new pitcher Moreno Vork.
Lead-off hitter John Polonius reached second base on a throwing error, advanced on a grounder and scored on a grounder by Gianison Boekhoudt to make it a 5-2 score.
Kevin Kelly threw the ninth inning for Neptunus.
With one out, he gave up an infield-hit to Kevin Nieveld.
With two outs, Jeldwin Orman singled.
Nieveld moved to third base, but Orman, who tried to advance to second base, was eliminated.
And that ended the game.
It earned Kelly his second save, while De Groot earned his second win of the season.
De Groot now has three of the four decisions so far, as he is 2-1.
