On Friday, Curaçao Neptunus announced that it has acquired lefthanded pitcher Ryan Huntington and righthander Tom de Blok. Huntington played for Twins Oosterhout this season. De Blok was on the roster of L&D Amsterdam Pirates through the half of the season, but did not play due to an elbow-inury.

Now that the season has ended, the transfer-period is in full swing. The transfer-period ends on November 15.

Delano Selassa made his big league-debut during the 2016 season when he played in six games for HCAW. In the next season, he was no regular yet, but then appeared in 19 games for the Bussum-team. In his first full season (2018), Selassa batted .270 and led HCAW in Runs Scored (25) and was second in Basehits (43).

After the 2018 season, the infielder transfered to L&D Amsterdam Pirates for whom he played in the next four seasons (2019-2022). In his first season with Pirates, Selassa batted only .248. But with the team, he captured the Dutch Championship-title and was named Most Valuable Player of the Holland Series. In the abbrevtiated 2020 season, Selassa batted .250.

The past two seasons were the best offensively for Selassa. In 2021, he batted .314 with 19 runs batted in, but again, he captured the Dutch Championship-title with Pirates.

This year, Selasssa finished the regular season with a .337 batting average and collected 58 basehits, both career-highs. He scored 25 runs and batted in a career-high 27. This season, Selassa played at three different positions in the infield, second base, third base and short stop.

In 2019, Selassa made his debut in the Netherlands National Team during the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam (Netherlands). During that event, he played in three official international games for the Orange Team.

This year, the infielder made his comeback in the National Team and participated in the Baseball Week Haarlem in Haarlem (Netherlands), playing in four games.
