  Storks ends exhibition season with strong comeback in Belgium

 BRASSCHAAT (Belgium) -
Silicon Storks was one of the two Dutch big league-clubs who were playing in Belgium the weekend.
DSS/Kinheim played against and at Hoboken Pioneers, while Storks closed its exhibiton season with a weekend in Brasschaat.
There, Storks played on Saturday (April 2) and Sunday (April 3) against Brasschaat Braves in Brasschaat, which is a suburb of Antwerp.
On a cold Saturday-afternoon, Storks trailed, but came back late and went on to win 11-10 in a 9-inning game.
Only two pitchers threw for Storks, Darryl Jamoena and Johannes Verroen Garcia.
On Sunday, Storks faced a hard throwing starting pitcher, who did very well.
The team from The Hague faced a big 12-2 deficit, but then suddenly rallied for ten runs in the eighth inning to come alongside.
The game ended after eight innings.
Twan Naessens, Obed Hernandez and Jiairo Samboe were on the mound for Storks in this game.
At the moment, Storks has a small roster to start the new season with, but it is expected that a few new players will be added in the coming weeks.
As of now, there are no injuries.
Although the new season opens coming Thursday-evening, Storks has no games scheduled.
As there are nine teams in the highest league, one team will be off each round.
In the Opening Round, that team is Storks, which will play its first game on Thursday, April 14.
The team then will play a 3-game series against RCH Memorie Sieraden.
On Thursday and Sunday away in Heemstede.
On Saturday, at home in The Hague.
