Quick Amersfoort used the first two innings today to built the basis for the victory, scoring five runs.
From there, a scoreless game followed, but Quick added six more runs in the final two at bats.
RCH-Pinguïns, which won the first two games, today was only able to score in the sixth and seventh inning.
Quick opened the score with three runs in the top of the first inning off of starter Finn Kragt.
All runs were scored with two outs.
Kragt walked lead-off hitter Jordy Burger.
Next batter Emeron Lourens was ruled out for interference, but Alex Madera followed with a single.
After a double-steal and a strikeout, both runners scored on a 2-out single by Ibrahin Redan.
He moved into scoring position on a passed ball, then advanced to third base and scored on following singles by Rodney Daal and Pascal Zegwaard.
Kragt closed with a strikeout, but Quick had taken an early lead.
The Amersfoort-team added two more runs in the second at bat, also with two outs.
Finn Kragt made the catch himself when the first two batters hit pop-flies, but then gave up a single to Emeron Lourens and a homerun to Alex Madera.
Hereafter, Quick's scoring suddenly stopped, as Finn Kragt recovered and threw five very solid innings in which he allowed only one batter to reach base!
After giving up the homerun to Madera, Kragt retired the next fourteen batters in a row.
With one out in the seventh, the righthander walked Irving Redan, who moved to second base on a grounder by Jordy Burger.
Kragt closed with a strikeout.
RCH-Pinguïns was held scoreless in the first five innings by Jan-Willem Geerts, who also had a solid outing.
In that span, the home-team got into scoring position only twice.
Geerts retired the side in the first inning.
With one out in the second, the righthander walked Yurdion Martie and with two outs, he gave up a single to Geoffrey Verhoef.
But they were left behind.
In the next three at bats, RCH stranded a runner on first base each time.
In the third, Paris Aguilera Zayas led off with a single, but two flyouts and a grounder followed.
With one out in the fourth, Yurdion Martie single and Ties van der Beeke walked.
This time, a double play ended the at bat.

And so, while Quick was kept scoreless, RCH also was unable to do some scoring.
Trailing 5-0, the team scored its first run in the bottom of the sixth.
Jesse Aussems led off with a walk and moved to second base when Tilsaimy Melfor flied out.
Aussems then advanced on a grounder by Yurdion Martie and scored on a following single by Ties van der Beeke.
In the bottom of the seventh, RCH narrowed the deficit to 5-2 by scoring another run off of new pitcher Stijn Bruins Slot.
Sebastiaan van der Horst led off with a double, then scored on a 2-out single by Leandro Anasagasti.
For RCH, the scoring stopped here, but Quick added six more runs in the next two at bats.
In the top of the eighth, Quick scored twice off of new pitcher Lars Werkman.
He gave a lead-off single to Alex Madera, then walked Jorge Hernandez Morantes and gave up a runscoring single to Ibrahin Redan.
Next, the bases got loaded when Rodney Daal also walked.
Hereafter, Pascal Zegwaard grounded into a double play, but that also enabled Hernandez to score and make it a 7-2 lead.
With two outs in the top of the ninth, Quick scored four more runs off of two pitchers.
Koen Werkman took over the pitching for RCH in this inning.
With two outs and Jordy Burger (fielder's choice, passed ball) on second base, Werkman gave up a runscoring single to Alex Madera.
This was Madera's fourth basehit in the game.
Madera also went on to score his fourth run on a following double by Jorge Hernandez Morantes, who scored himself when next batter Ibrahin Redan delivered a triple.
Redan, who batted in four runs, was able to continue running to score a run when a throwing error followed.
And so, Quick lifted the lead to 11-2.
RCH-Pinguïns was kept scoreless again in its final two at bats by two relievers.
Amar van Zwieten pitched the eighth inning and retired the side.
Jasper Popken then threw the ninth.
With two outs, he gave up a single to Paris Aguilera Zayas, who was the lone RCH-player today with a multi-hit performance.
But Popken then ended the game with a strikeout.
