ROTTERDAM (Neth.) -
Curaçao Neptunus announced on Friday (October 7) that switch-hitting outfielder/first baseman Arthur Bonevacia has transfered to the club from Twins Oosterhout.
A week ago, the Rotterdam-club announced that it had added pitchers Ryan Huntington and Tom de Blok to its roster for the 2023 season.

This season, Bonevacia was a teammate of Huntington at Twins Oosterhout.
De Blok was on the roster of L&D Amsterdam Pirates, but didn't play the entire season, as he was recovering from elbow-surgery.
Halfway the season, he was removed from the roster.
Like Huntington, Bonevacia will play for his third different team in three years.
Two days ago, Neptunus also saw a player leave, as pitcher Kaj Timmermans returned to HCAW, which was announced by the Bussum-club on Wednesday.
In the final week of September, Neptunus announced that Greg Muller was named new Head Coach as the successor of Raily Legito.
The transfer-period ends on November 15.
In the announcement, Neptunus-chairman Jorian van Acker said:
,,We are pleased to add Arthur Bonevacia to our selection.
Arthur is a strong batter with a lot of experience, who can play in multiple positions.
A very valuable player who gives our new manager Greg Muller options to play with different formations.
In addition, Arthur is a great teammate who will make a positive contribution to the team.''
The 34-year old Arthur Bonevacia played professionally in the Baltimore Orioles-organization in 2005-2009.
In those five seasons, he mostly played at the Rookie League-level, including one season in the Venezuelan Summer League (2006) where the team was provided with players from both Baltimore and Chicago White Sox.
In 2008, he played in eight games at the Single-A Short Season.
He promoted to this level in 2009, then played in 40 games in what was his final season in the Minor League.
Thereafter, Bonevacia went on to play in the Netherlands.
In 2011, the outfielder made his debut in the Dutch big league, playing in 34 games for Sparta-Feyenoord.
He finished the season with a .244 batting average, 14 runs batted in and four exta-basehits (all doubles) in what at that moment appeared to be his lone season in the highest Dutch league.
But the Curaçao-born Bonevacia returned to the big league in the 2019 season when he played in 23 games for Twins Oosterhout.
He then batted .235 and hit his first big league-homerun.
After the 2019 season, the outfielder tranfered to HCAW for whom he then played in 2020 and 2021.
In the 2020 season, which was abbreviated due to measures of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Bonevacia played in all 21 games for the Bussum-team and hit above .300 for the first time.
In his first season with HCAW, he batted .311, sharing second place in the team with Berend Ruben, who recently was named Assistant Coach of Twins Oosterhout for next season.
Bonevacia was a productive hitter for HCAW, who he led with 16 runs scored, 23 basehits and 15 runs batted in. Linoy Croes and Rodney Daal), 28 runs batted in and a .456 on-base percentage.
But after his successful two seasons with HCAW, Bonevacia returned to Twins Oosterhout after last season.
This year, he batted .262 for Twins with seven extra-basehits (all doubles), scored eight runs and batted in thirteen.
In the best-of-five Play-Offs against Neptunus, he batted .444 (4-for-9) and batted in two runs.
Twins was swept in three games and therefore eliminated for the Holland Series.
