Ten days ago, Twins Oosterhout announced that Belgian National Team-catcher Axel Poesmans also will play for the team next year. The same day, the team confirmed that righthanded pitcher Koen Postelmans will stay with the team.

The transfer-period ends on November 15.

Towards the end of September, the club annouced that Rob Hendriks was named as new Head Coach as the successor of Adonis Kemp. In 2023, Hendriks will be assisted by Bas Nooijens and Berend Ruben.

Last year, Yurdion Martie made his debut in the highest Dutch league when he played for Silicon Storks as the team's prime catcher, but he also saw action as designated hitter. Despite missing several games early in the season due to an injury, he batted .270 (31-for-115) and was the fourth-best hitter of the team. Martie collected four doubles, scored ten runs, batted in fifteen and walked sixteen times. His .363 on-base percentage also was fourth-best of the team from The Hague.

This season, Martie played for RCH Memorie Sieraden. In the first half of the season, he was the team's second-best hitter with a .288 batting average. In the second half of the regular season, Martie batted .316, which was fifth-best in the team. Overall, he batted .297 with two doubles, scored fifteen runs and batted in eighteen. Again, Martie primarily played as catcher, but in two games, he also played at second baseman and in one game, he was the third baseman.

This year, Yurdion Martie also played for the Netherlands Under-23 Team. In August, he participated with the team in the European Under-23 Championship in Italy. Martie played in four games and batted 2-for-8 (.250) with one (3-run) homerun and batted in five runs. In the Final, the Netherlands won 7-3 against Germany. Martie then was the designated hitter and batted in two runs with two sacrifice flies.

Last month, Martie participated with the Team in the World Under-23 Championship in Taiwan. There, he played in five games (all as catcher) and batted 2-for-6 with one homerun, walked four times, scored twice and batted in four runs. In the game against South Africa, Yurdion Martie accounted for a highlight in a 6-run rally in the first inning when he belted a 3-run homerun. The Orange Team went on to win 17-3 anf finished in eighth place.

In 2021, Martie also was a member of the Orange Under-23 Team during the World Championship in Mexico. This Championship was originally scheduled for 2020, but then was postponed due to the coronavirus-pandemic (COVID-19). This time, Martie played in two games and batted 0-for-5.

In the past few days, Twins Oosterhout also confirmed that pitchers Finn Kops and Jeffrey Levenstone, infielders Railison Bentura, Luuk Bun, Mick Vos and Gijs van Zalingen and outfielders Max Kops and Luuk Visser all will stay and thus will play for the team again in the 2023 season.
