(Story by Marco Stoovelaar) Pilot-Pool: Second game Twins Oosterhout against Quick Amersfoort rains out Nederlands OOSTERHOUT (Neth.) - The second game of the 3-game series between the second team of Twins Oosterhout and Quick Amersfoort in the Major League/First Division Pilot-Pool, scheduled to be on Saturday (September 10), was cancelled. Due to heavy rain throughout the preceeding night and early morning, the field in Oosterhout had become unplayable. The game will be made up coming Tuesday-evening (September 13) in Oosterhout. On Thursday-evening, Quick Amersfoort won the opener 12-8 after trailing 8-1. Two other games in this Pool could be played as scheduled. In Heemstede, RCH Memorie Sieraden won 5-3 against Sparks Haarlem. And in Vleuten, UVV won 6-1 against Silicon Storks. Also today, in Bussum, HCAW shutout Curaçao Neptunus 2-0 in Game 2 of the best-of-seven Holland Series to win its second game of the Championship Final. (September 10)
