The first three innings of today's game remained scoreless.
UVV then opened the score in the fourth and led 2-1 halfway the sixth at bat.
The home-team then rallied for four runs and hold onto the lead in the remainder of the game.
Although Kyle Ward was initially announced as starting pitcher for today, Jurjen van Zijl started instead for UVV.
Ward completed the game by pitching the final two innings.
Van Zijl encountered not many problems in the first five innings.
The righthander got two runners in scoring position, but both stranded on second base.
In the top of the second inning, Van Zijl hit lead-off hitter Edvin Yrausquin, who then moved to second base on an one-out single by Kelvin Knape.
Van Zijl closed with two strikeouts.

Van Zijl then retired the side in the third and fourth inning, as he also had done in the first.
After having retired nine batters in a row (and now with an 1-0 lead), he gave up a bunt-single to Curtis Duinkerk in the fifth inning.
Duinkerk would steal second base, but was also left behind.
UVV got two baserunners in its first at bat off of starter Twan Naessens.
With two outs, Karl Hoschke and Daan Terstall both singled.
A grounder ended the inning, then UVV was retired in order in the second inning.
With one out in the third, Luke Oliphant doubled, but also stranded.
UVV then opened the score in the bottom of the fourth.
Although the team got the bases loaded with one out, only one run was scored.
Daan Terstall led off with a single and moved to second base on a grounder.
Next, the bases got loaded when Lucas Bekker walked and Stefan Kuipers singled.
When the latter was forced on second base on a grounder by Etienne van Tielraden, Terstall scored.
Another force play ended the at bat and two runners were left behind.
UVV added a run in the fifth inning.
Luke Oliphant led off with a walk.
The American then got awarded both second and third base on two consecutive balks.
WIth one out, it was attempted to eliminate Oliphant on a grounder by Karl Hoschke, but he scored.
An error on a fly by Jaycy Fluonia led to runners on the corners, but they also were left behind.
In the top of the sixth, Storks cut the deficit in half.
Jurrian Hansen led off with a single and stole second base.
With two outs, Edvin Yrausquin walked and Ruben Scheurkogel followed with a runscoring single.
But with runners on first and second base, the inning ended when Yrausquin was caught stealing at third base.
In the bottom of the sixth, UVV took more distance by scoring four runs.
Twan Naessens got the bases loaded quickly.
He gave up a lead-off single to Stefan Kuipers, then a bunt-single to Etienne van Tielraden, followed by a walk for Daan Jansen.
With three runners on base, Johannes Verroen Garcia took over the Storks-pitching.
The righthander threw a wild pitch, which moved all runners, meaning Kuipers scored.
The bases were then re-loaded when Luke Oliphant walked.
The same scenario followed.
First, all runners advanced on a wild pitch and so, Van Tielraden scored.
Next, the bases loaded again via a walk, this time for Ryan Wheat.
An error on a comeback-grounder by Karl Hosche then led to the next run and kept the bases loaded.
Verroen followed with a strikeout, but then gave up an RBI-single to Jaycy Fluonia.
With the bases still loaded, the inning ended with a double play, but UVV now led 6-2.
That score didn't change anymore, as no more runs were added in the remainder of the game .
UVV was retired in order by Verroen in its final two at bats.
Storks got one more baserunner off of Kyle Ward, who took over as pitcher for UVV in the top of the eighth.
The lefthander then retired the side (two strikeouts).
After beginning the ninth with a strikeout, Ward walked Edvin Yrausquin, but he then struckout his fourth and fifth batter to close the game.
